Ingredients
1 bag of Doritos (pick any flavour -- Nacho, Cool Ranch, etc...)
1 lb of ground beef
1 jar of Old el Paso taco sauce - hot
2 tomatoes
1 onion
1 tsp of garlic salt (or fresh garlic if you prefer)
1 tsp of basil
1 tsp of chili powder
olive oil
ranch dressing (i like hidden valley)
salt
pepper
LOTS of cheddar and mozzarella cheese (grated)
Preparation Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180 F
Chop the tomatoes and onions, then in a bowl combine with basil, garlic and a drizzle of little of olive oil.
Brown beef in a frying pan, add salt and pepper to taste. Next add the chili powder for seasoning. Then the taco sauce... yes the WHOLE jar. Lastly, add the chopped up tomato and onion mix with the beef. Let this simmer for about 5-10 mins on low heat.
In a foil-lined baking pan, layer Doritos, cheese, beef, cheese, Doritos... etc, until full. Then drizzle a some Ranch dressing to top it off. Then bake it in the oven until cheese on top get's bubbly!
