Vegetarian Fettucine Alfredo

Ingredients

1 500 g pkg fettucine pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 plum tomatoes, diced
1 dozen asparagus spears, sliced into 1" strips
1 dozen button mushrooms, sliced
2 410 mL jar President's Choice Alfredo pasta sauce
1 Morningstar Farms Meal Starters Chik'n Strips, thawed, sliced into 1" strips
imitation bacon bits (optional)

Preparation Instructions

Cook fettucine according to package instructions. (Note: add oil to boiling water and rinse cooked pasta with cold water to prevent pasta from sticking to each other.) Set aside.

Saute garlic and tomato in olive oil. Add asparagus then mushrooms. When vegetables are almost tender, add alfredo pasta sauce and chik'n strips. If desired, add imitation bacon bits to taste.

Serve on top of cooked fettucine pasta, garnished with parmesan cheese, with a side of garlic bread.
